Estates Consultation: Kilsyth
Results updated 7 May 2025
Thank you for your interest and engagement in the Police Scotland estate and changes proposed.
In December 2023 we launched public consultations on the proposed disposal of a number of police stations including Kilsyth.
Since launching the consultation, further work has been undertaken internally to review and consider what our wider estate requirements will be for the future.
In November 2024 the Scottish Police Authority endorsed Police Scotland’s Estates Masterplan, a 10-year estates transformation programme that sets out our strategic intent for each building and most importantly enables us to prioritise that work. Shortly after the Scottish Government indicated that funding would be provided to support its implementation.
The future of Kilsyth police station is currently under review as part of the Estates Masterplan. Feedback received during the public consultation remains valuable and will be carefully considered as part of this ongoing review. We will provide further updates to the local community on Kilsyth station when a decision is made.
We will ensure any future estate changes enables modern policing, supports the health, safety and wellbeing of our people and the communities we serve and reduces long term operating costs.
We are committed to creating an estate that is best for our officers and staff, meets our operational requirements and supports the communities that we serve.
A copy of the Estates Masterplan document as provided to the SPA Board in November 2024 can be found on the SPA website.
