It is all very well acknowledging the aforementioned but the reality of this is all totally meaningless if we have a government who is determined to cut vital services and recruitment and continually ignore the constructive comments voiced by the taxpayer and interfere in many of the procedures and practices that are really outwith their knowledge.

Please tell us why you think this is the right or wrong approach?
Despite the insistance, there are all too few officers on the shifts ndoing all too much so how are trhey meant to interact with the general public. How do you expect to develop your offiers when their work load in ever increasing, promoting officers with too little service and police knowledge, not providing enough of an impetus for serving officers to positivley enhance their current situation.

The only measure of the effectiveness of the Police will be the usual statistics that are spouted from the politicians. At present the crime stats are so doctored that it is an embarassment to suggest that crime is decreasing when anybody with an ounce of sense realises that the stats are totally useless and only serves to reduce the amount of money given to the police to carry out their duties.,

Workforce

We would welcome any views you have.
Regardless of how the strategy is dressed up, The police service will diminish rapidly thanks to interfering members of the government who will do their utmost to force the already beleagured police service to deal with even more of a workload and as a result of this will naturally be unable to provide the service that they were sworn to undertake.
