I'm answering as a member of the community so don't fully appreciate the changing demands however i'm pleased to see that social and demographic changes as well as increasing online activities are well documented and feature highly in priorities ahead.

Agree that public sector organisations need to be leaner in corporate functions and stronger in the areas of focus. I support the strategy's suggestion that this is to be balanced better in the decade ahead.

Public confidence needs to come hand in hand with educating the public better about the demands on policing and areas of priority. In turn policing needs to better demonstrate why changes are happening so that the public can adjust their way of thinking and perception of what is a good or bad service. Asking a community if they feel safe is often still judged against the visible persence of police officers - but if they are not needed out wandering the streets, we need to adjust our thinking and compare it with outher performance measures.
