Perhaps more effort should go into bombarding the government with the need to remove the VAT burden Police scotland faces.

Getting the nhs and mental health sectors to stand up to their responsibilities is well overdue. Maybe get that sorted asap and allow police officers to deal with crime.

The police work with partners but the partners aren't working group for the police. It's time the senior executive of police scotland realised this and started making the 'partners' work for them. Too much police time is wasted dealing g with no police matters which should be dealt with by these partners.

A large proportion of those who complete these surveys will have never had contact with the police or crime. They do not accurately reflect the opinion of those having had contact with the police. Therefore the accuracy of these surveys are questionable so you cannot base police performance on ineffective surveys.

Workforce

5. The Policing 2026 strategy highlights that we will need to re-shape our organisation with a workforce focussed on having the right skills and capacity to meet future challenges. Do you agree with this approach?

As I said before. The police need to be able to police. Not spend hours sat in hospitals, mental institutions or searching for runaway children or adults who've fled a@e departments. There needs to be a new accord struck to make nhs staff, departments and social care providers accountable. Not solely the police when things go wrong.

Clear & Understandable

Is this really what you think is what's needed. His about getting real. Look at what's happened ro the organisation. Tied up in red tape with staff too afraid to make a decision due to lack of support from higher up the ranks.

Other views

7. We would welcome any additional views you have on our strategy and how it will affect you, or any other person.

We would welcome any views you have.
People need police to deal with crime. We need hospitals to deal with the ill. Social work need to deal with care. Kids homes need to deal with kids in care. It's not rocket science. At the moment the police deal with everything.
