It's a bunch of bleeding-heart blue-sky tosh. Stop doing social work, get off the keyboard, and go and feel collars.

Please tell us why you think these are the right or wrong areas of focus?
The police need to be a Force, not a Service. Sod diversity, sod inequality. Beat down kick-off merchants and put in the doors of wrong 'uns. If you won't, who will?

Please tell us why you think this is the right or wrong approach?
It's a bunch of vague waffle from a marketing firm. Recruitment and retention of the right constables is key. That means sodding off diversity targets, and not employing beanpoles, Redacted text, nippy sweeties and other affirmative action hires. Recruit big, calm, handy lads with a strong moral compass, and let them get on with it.

Performance

4. The Policing 2026 Strategy states that public confidence will be a key measure of success and the effectiveness of Police performance. Do you agree with this approach?

Bobby Peel is spinning in his grave. You need approval and assistance, not "confidence". That's PR jabber, and nothing to do with "effectiveness".

Workforce

5. The Policing 2026 strategy highlights that we will need to re-shape our organisation with a workforce focussed on having the right skills and capacity to meet future challenges. Do you agree with this approach?

Strongly agree, but not in the way that you think. Get shot of all your Affirmative Action seat-warmers, recruit big men without a chip on their shoulder, and that's you done.

Clear & Understandable

6. Is the strategy presented in a clear and understandable way?

It's marketing waffle and a typical waste of budget. You've set out some vague happy-clappy goals, but not what you're actually going to do to meet them.

Other views

7. We would welcome any additional views you have on our strategy and how it will affect you, or any other person.

If you'd presented a strategy, I might have some views on it.
