There are a number of areas of concern for the Maritime and Coastguard Agency 1. Access to training at Tulliallen is extremely difficult and we resort to training with the metropolitan police which has limited value. I would like to have better access to training particularly in regard to suspect and vulnerable witness interview. 2. As police Scotland move towards more electronic means of capturing evidence and statements I would like training for our officers in the police techniques 3. I would like a single point of contact by MOU probably with border policing command to get instant response at a harbour by police who can secure the scene, and take initial statements.
