Please tell us why you think this is the right or wrong approach?
Some of the methods sound good but strike me as being unrealistic. The document's general proposals are full of wishy washy platitudes, e.g increased partnership working, increased effectiveness, etc - lots of nonsense terms that sound good but mean very little.

That is such an obvious thing to say - it is hardly groundbreaking!

It is full of nonsense platitudes that anyone could write. What is important is showing HOW YOU ARE GOING TO DO IT.

We would welcome any views you have.
Every time I see these documents they mention increased partnership working, etc. Given how long we have been speaking about increased partnership working, why are we still supposedly striving towards it? What I did like were the proposed examples of how investigating and dealing with particular incidents would work in detail in 2026 compared to how they are dealt with now. 2026 sounds wonderful the way it is proposed. It will be very interesting to see what the reality is in 2026. I hope the police will be brave enough to publish this document in 2026 to see if their hopes and expectations have been realised. Reading these examples, they sounded wonderful but I suspect they will be 'pie in the sky'. I think back to where we were in 2006 and see little or no improvement in technology or ease of doing the job.
